Everson Griffen — Who Said "Kirk Cousins is A**” — Re-Signs With the Vikings

Everson Griffen, who made the Pro Bowl with the Vikings four times in a five-year stretch from 2015-19, is back with the team after a one-year stint split with the Cowboys and Lions.

On the one hand, it’s a nice depth signing for a Vikings defense that got pushed around at times last year. And for that reason alone, it’s a notable addition in terms of trying to keep everything that happens in the NFC North in perspective. But on the other hand, it’s a significant signing, in part, because of the side drama that is along for the ride.

Because while Griffen’s tweets about Kirk Cousins are gone, the internet never forgets:

One of my most endearing qualities is holding a grudge. Deleted but not forgotten. pic.twitter.com/UaETibKARn

Ah, yes. Nothing like some in-house Vikings drama to really tie things together.

But at least Griffen will try to make amends:

Everson Griffen said he plans to apologize to Kirk Cousins for his insulting tweets about the QB. Griffen said he’s already apologized to Mike Zimmer.

From where I stand, Griffen has nothing to apologize for after tweeting what he did. I mean, Griffen formed a tweet based on the information he had at his disposal. Surely, Cousins can get on board with that line of thinking.
