Funniest memes reacting to Cam Newton possibly joining Texans

Suddenly, Cam Newton is looking for a new team.

Newton, who was cut by the Patriots on Tuesday, likely will have some options, but the Texans do make a lot of sense. Deshaun Watson is very unlikely to every play for the Texans again, leaving them bereft of talent in their quarterback room.

Of course, there are plenty of other teams who could use Newton, too. The Washington Football Team is entering the season with Ryan Fitzpatrick as its starter, so it could use an upgrade. Neither the Eagles or Dolphins seem completely sold on their young quarterbacks, and could be intrigued by bringing in Newton. The same goes for the Steelers, who need a reliable backup behind Ben Roethlisberger.

However, the Texans were one of the first teams internet comedians linked to Newton.

Josiah Johnson, who has more than 180,000 followers because he is excessively good at Twitter, started it off.

It's unclear how serious the Texans will be about pursuing Newton. Texans general manager Nick Caserio is plenty familiar with Newton, having worked with the Patriots as the team's director of pro personnel in Newton's lone season in New England.

For now, we're just here to get these jokes off.
