247Sports experts sound off on UF's newest commitment Jayden Gibson

The Florida Gators continue to add pieces to the offense for their 2022 recruiting class. Their latest addition came on Wednesday when Winter Garden (Fla.) West Orange four-star wide receiver Jayden Gibson picked the Gators over teams such as Georgia, South Carolina, Miami, and a few others. The Gators extended an offer to Gibson earlier this year and made him a priority target in-state. With his big body frame, 247Sports Recruiting Director Steve Wiltfong loves this addition for the Orange and Blue, and feels Gibson has a chance to have a bright future in Gainesville.

"I think they are getting an alpha personality and a very confident player who can ultimately be one of the best downfield threats in college football. He's having a terrific senior season. 6-foot-5, he is going to be very imposing on the perimeter after a couple years in a college strength and conditioning program. I just think he has all the traits to be a match up nightmare. He's really starting to peak as a player here in his final high school campaign and this an exciting recruiting win for Dan Mullen and company. This is the type of guy who can give the Alabama's and Georgia's and other top tier programs in the SEC fits for years to come."

Gibson joins a recruiting class at the wide receiver position for the Gators that already consisted of four-star's Isaiah Bond and Chandler Smith. The Gators are also recruiting five-star wide receiver Evan Stewart as well. The haul the Gators already have has a chance to be very productive on offense in the future according to Wiltfong.

"With the guys they have in the fold and the guys they are recruiting, this group has the makings to be a prolific offense for years to come."

247Sports Southeast Recruiting Analyst Andrew Ivins specializes in the Sunshine State and has seen Gibson live many times, including being on the sidelines for his game this past Monday. Ivins is also very high on Gibson's game and believes his better years on the field are ahead of him.

"I think he's the perfect kind of compliment to those two speeders and if they were to potentially to add Evan Stewart as well, he kind of just completes the puzzle. He is all of 6-foot-4 pushing 6-foot-5 with a thin and wiry frame. He is a guy who has been able to get it done on the outside. He's a mismatch and probably a little bit better right now at the deeper routes, but I thought when I saw him on Monday it was impressive what he did, kind of working the short to intermediate parts of the field. He can pick up some stuff after the catch, but he's a guy who you are going to play on the outside and keep the defense nice and wide. You would like for him to develop into a wide receiver one type of guy that you can target on third and long and just has reliable hands. I am a big fan, and I have long been a big fan. I still think his best football is ahead of him but definitely needs to add some strength, but that should happen with Nick Savage. That will make him more competitive at the catch point and allow him to be a better perimeter blocker. I am interested to see what Billy Gonzales does with him because he seems to be able to get the most out of receivers at all different sizes and Jayden is another one of them."

With Gibson in the fold, the Gators 2022 recruiting class moves up one spot to No. 14 in 247Sports team recruiting rankings.

The 247Sports Composite, an industry generated average, currently ranks Gibson as the Nation's No. 170 overall prospect in the 2022 recruiting class.
