Video highlights of Payton Pritchard scoring 92 points in Portland pro-am game

Payton Pritchard looked like he was the best player on the floor in Boston’s Summer League games that he suited up for this past week. That trend continued on Saturday as he took the court in a Portland Pro-Am Summer League game in a matchup against Mike James and other Oregon natives.

Pritchard erupted for 92 points in a high-scoring shootout, leading his squad to a 165-163 win. Big scoring games in Pro-Ams are fairly common this summer but the 92-point outing has caught a lot of attention online. Full video highlights of the performance are beginning to surface with clips of Pritchard’s tremendous shooting all over the court also available to see in a shorter highlight reel. It’s likely that the outing will earn the second-year guard some added praise from his new coaching staff with several Oregon natives such as Ime Udoka, Damon Stoudemire, Aaron Miles and Ben Sullivan all taking positions with Boston this summer.

The Celtics are set to play in the NBA Summer League championship game on Tuesday night despite Pritchard leaving the squad on Friday for a team-excused absence. According to a team source, the commitment was made by Pritchard and agreed to by the team before Summer League dates were announced.

Boston has won four straight games in Las Vegas and three with Pritchard manning point guard. He was an offensive force in those contests, finishing Summer League averaging 20.3 points and 8.7 assists per game on 57.7 percent shooting from beyond the arc.
